Our story.

"I really really like you."
That's what we used to say when we were dating and hadn't mustered out the real "L" word.
"like really really reeeeealllly like you. you know?"

4 years ago, this man made me his.

classy right?

He stole my heart, and I stole his last name. That's how the saying goes right?
Only that's not technically true...because I pretty much gave him my heart anyway, I was happy to hand it over, and technically it took me quite a long time to "steal" his last name. I think it was something like 10 months and I think he was happy to share that too.
He's like that, such a good share-er. I'm still learning.
anyway.

I think what I love most about our story is the beginning, because we were teeny boppers.

Ty's Aunt Emily, who was my backdoor neighbor and our close family friend,
set us up the minute we turned 16.
We both had "significant others"so I think that is why we were able to really start out as friends.

*side note...Ty's girlfriend at the time is now one of my very closest friends!
Weird? To everyone but us, I think. I really do love that girl and am glad to
have her as such a good friend.

We would email and occasionally see each other. But strictly just as friends. He even stopped through at my work one time to say hi while driving through AF with Aubrey on their way home from her family reunion down south, (bless her heart, I probably would have been annoyed if it was me) and just chatted at my work for a minute.
Even though we didn't see each other often we had this weird best friendship.
In the end it made it such an easy decision to marry each other. we didn't need to know if we liked each other, we just needed to know if we loved each other, and in the end, we did.

When Ty left on his mission I promised to write, which I failed at miserably, until the last few months.
We wrote every week, and when he returned home he drove down to my house 3 days later.
At first he claimed it was to visit his old companion, which is true, but he stayed for 4 days and saw his companion for about 1 hour ;)
We were on again off again a couple times for the next few months, not sure if he or I were ready to get married, but after an actual "breakup" by him, he called the next day and said that he definitely couldn't live without me.
In a more manly way of course, I don't remember his actual wording.

He was home the first of April, we were engaged the middle of July, and Married by November.
2008 was definitely a good year for both of us :)

Too say I love this Man would be an understatement.
He made me a wife, he helped make me a mother, he provides for me and our wonderful girls.
He loves the Lord and faithfully serves Him.
He is a wonderful example to our daughters and to me.
I am this guy's biggest fan.
I gave Mr. Harding my heart 4 years ago and he has kept it nice and warm.
The best part?? We have forever to go.
And I really really like that idea.

XXO,
wifey.
